The summer between my M1 and M2 year I travelled to Colombia for the summer to attend a spanish immersion program.
I completed a spanish immersion program at Pontificia Universidad Javieriana in Cali, Colombia over the summer of 2018. After studying latin through high school and college, I wanted to continue learning languages that would serve me in my medical career.
The program consisted mainly on morning lecture and then afternoon "viajes" — trips around the city and surrounding towns, from Silvia to Roldanillo. I met people from all over the world on similar missions and learned a lot about Colombian culture and life.
